The enclosed option, while more expensive, is ideal for custom and high-end motorcycles, as they are fully protected. Enclosed transport is also the top choice for those with racing or heavily modified motorcycles, as even the tiniest blemish could affect performance.
Unlike four-wheeled vehicles, motorcycles and scooters need to be properly prepared for a move. Photos should be taken of everything and any pre-existing damage should be documented in case of an insurance claim. Note any chips, dings, scratches, other cosmetic issues and any mechanical problems. This information should be shared with your driver for verification. Unless the motorcycle or scooter is being moved as freight through a carrier, you typically do not need to drain your gas tank, nor remove the battery. All loose items should be removed, however, to prevent any damage during the move.
